What happened is now clear.

According to hotel management, the shocked maid discovered the DJ from Ellen DeGeneres’ show who shot himself in a hotel room in Los Angeles this week.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss, 40, an experienced executive producer of Ellen’s show, arrived at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino at about 10.30 a.m. on Monday.

“He went inside his room and never came out,” manager Rakesh explained.

On Tuesday, around 11:15 a.m., the maid arrived to check on the room. Despite the fact that no one was there, his belongings were inside. When she checked the restroom, she discovered blood all over it.

She was terrified. This is the first time something like this has happened here.

“The 911 operator asked us to check his pulse, but there was none. He was pronounced dead when police and paramedics arrived.”

According to Rakesh, who preferred to be named only by his first name, visitors and staff did not hear the shooting.

‘Perhaps he did it during the day on Monday. He assumed no one heard it because of the busy, noisy road outside.

Boss contacted at 9.20 a.m. on Monday to ask whether rooms were still available and then walked the few blocks from his house. He appeared “quite normal” and “composed,” according to Rakesh.

“There was no response when we knocked,” Rakesh stated. His belongings were still in the room when the maid opened the door.

The manager explained that Boss shot himself in the restroom, which another employee confirmed.

He checked into the motel under his identity on Monday and was not discovered until Tuesday morning, according to police.

Workers called the situation “terrible,” alleging the man “shot himself in the head,” but no one heard the gunshots.

He left the house without his car on Monday, and when he didn’t return home by Tuesday — he’d been gone overnight — his wife called the police.

Boss’ family gathered at his six-bedroom Encino home on Wednesday morning to care for his grieving wife and children, embracing his sobbing son as he rushed out to meet them.

The family, according to one source, has declined to comment.

Stephen has three children: three-year-old Zaia, six-year-old Maddox Laurel, and fourteen-year-old Weslie Renae, born in Alison’s previous relationship but was adopted by Stephen. The competitor on So You Think You Can Dancing and his dance instructor wife Alison, 34, met on the show in 2010.

According to a sign on the family’s front lawn, daughter Weslie hopes to attend Notre Dame University with the class of 2026; hence, the suicide has cast a shadow over her promising future.

She also models sports equipment and is a young influencer for companies like her parents’ Dick’s Sporting Goods. She is also a member of her school’s soccer team.

They were celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary when they appeared on the show in November, just three days before his death. They were upbeat and optimistic about the future.

To commemorate the occasion, Boss and his wife posted a touching video of them dancing on social media.

He began working on Ellen’s show in 2014 and was promoted to executive producer in 2022.
