Travis Kelce Says Prince William Was ‘So Cool’ When They Met at Taylor Swift’s London Show: ‘Very Genuine’

The NFL star expressed amazement at how much respect his brother Jason Kelce showed when meeting the Prince of Wales at Taylor Swift’s concert at Wembley Stadium on June 21.

Travis Kelce was absolutely thrilled to meet Prince William.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, shared the experience on his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, which he co-hosts with his brother. Travis and Jason had the chance to meet the Prince of Wales, 42, during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 21.

“Dude, he was the coolest motherf—,” Travis exclaimed, as Jason agreed, “He was awesome.”

“He was so cool,” Travis reiterated.

Travis recounted meeting William and his children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, backstage. He was uncertain about how to behave—whether to bow, curtsy, or just shake their hands.

“We wanted to be respectful, especially when meeting the royalty,” Travis said, mentioning that George and Charlotte were delightful.

Jason, 36, also got to meet Prince William and his children. Travis noted that he had never seen his brother show so much respect.

“You put your beer a good 10 feet away from you,” Travis joked.

Jason added humorously, “I didn’t have my beer between my teeth when I met him,” alluding to a viral moment from a London concert where he was seen holding a beer cup in his teeth.

“You’re right,” Travis said. “I just want to enjoy your kingdom.”

“They were wonderful people, and that’s what matters,” Jason reflected. “Even though they are part of the monarchy, they came across as down-to-earth human beings.”

“Very genuine. Very cool,” Travis added.

Travis was featured in a photo Swift posted alongside Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte backstage. This image was also shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account.

In the photo, Taylor Swift, 34, can be seen beaming while snapping a picture of the group.
