Travis and Jason Kelce ‘Don’t Know Where to Start’ When Eating British Food and Reveal Which Dish ‘Creeps’ Them Out

When Jason and Travis Kelce took their ‘New Heights’ podcast to London, they couldn’t miss the chance to try some traditional British fare. They sampled a full English breakfast, afternoon tea, and a few other local delicacies.

Travis Kelce, taking a break from his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s London shows, joined his brother Jason in their culinary exploration.

Both Travis, 34, and Jason, 36, filmed their experience at Passyunk Avenue Bar, a Philly-themed dive bar in London. Despite his initial enthusiasm for English beer, Travis was less excited about the food choices.

“We gotta eat food? I thought we were just drinking English beer,” Travis joked.

Jason introduced the quintessential English breakfast: “They got a full English breakfast for us. We got beans, most importantly. What is it with the beans?”

Unsure about how to approach the beans, the father of three eventually figured it out but wasn’t particularly impressed.

“I don’t get the big deal about it,” said Jason. “Yeah, it’s what you think it is. It’s beans and toast. Very bland.”

Travis seemed even more reluctant to try it but decided to give blood sausage a tentative taste—and was pleasantly surprised.

“That was pretty good,” Travis admitted, with Jason agreeing: “I’m not gonna lie, this is great.”

Next, they were presented with a three-tiered food display for afternoon tea, leaving them puzzled once more.

“What do we have here? Can somebody help me out? I don’t even know where to start with this,” Jason said.

“Yeah, how do we even approach this?” echoed Travis.

Despite instructions to start with the sandwiches, the Kelce brothers remained baffled, especially Travis.

“What is that? Frosting?” he asked, biting into a cheese sandwich and quickly dismissing it. “Yeah, I’m not a big cheese guy,” he concluded.

Jason was shocked: “You don’t like cheese? Who doesn’t like cheese?”

Travis elaborated that the “mushy” texture of goat cheese puts him off. “Kinda creeps me out,” he confessed. “Cream cheese is tough. Cheesecake, same thing.”

Moving on to pastries, Travis picked a vibrant blue pastry while Jason opted for a vol au vent, a pastry filled with eggs.

“Sounds French,” Jason commented. “You guys are just stealing stuff from the French? That’s all right, we steal stuff in the U.S. all the time.”

“From everyone,” Travis joked.

Both were delighted with their choices.

“Egg salad in a pastry? Sign me up,” said Jason.

“This was all done up and everything and it’s just like sugar in a croissant,” said Travis about his choux pastry.

“Gah, I should have known that from Great British Bake Off,” Jason added. “Die-hard watcher of that. Kylie and I just can’t wait for a new season to drop.”

Travis was most enthusiastic about the warm scones, quickly popping one into his mouth with glee. Jason took a more measured approach, spreading jam and cream, which he initially mistook for butter.

The experience ended with them trying cups of tea.

“Let’s see what we’re rocking with,” said Travis, taking a cautious sip. “Okay, that is still blazing hot.”

Jason encouraged his brother: “I think you’re supposed to drink it hot. Dude, put your pinky out and do it properly!”

Clinking their cups, they both agreed the tea was “lovely.”

“I’m not gonna lie, this is the best tea I’ve had in my life,” Jason said. Travis agreed, noting, “Tea doesn’t taste like this in America.”

The podcast episode was recorded on June 22, a day after Jason and his wife Kylie attended their first Eras Tour show at Wembley Stadium. Travis also appeared on stage at one of Swift’s Wembley shows. He attended all three of Swift’s London shows and the final show of her three-night Dublin stay on June 30.
