Taylor Swift Reacts to Simone Biles Using ‘…Ready for It’: ‘Watched This So Many Times and Still Unready’

Pop superstar Taylor Swift recently expressed her excitement on X (formerly Twitter) when she saw Olympic champion Simone Biles use her song during a floor routine. This memorable performance took place on June 28 during the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials.

Taylor Swift is in awe of Simone Biles’ incredible talent!

The 27-year-old Olympic gymnast used Swift’s song “…Ready for It” from her 2017 album Reputation at the start of her routine. Swift, who is 34, shared her thoughts online, widely praising Biles’ performance.

“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho👏👏👏🥇🇺🇸❤” Swift wrote on X on Saturday, June 29, in reaction to a video of the routine posted by the NBC Olympics & Paralympics account.

In the clip from the event, Biles can be seen executing her routine with finesse as Swift’s track plays in the background. One of the standout moments was Biles performing the “triple-double,” described by commentators as the “hardest tumbling pass in the world.”

Biles is no stranger to making history. She previously became the first woman to perform the complex move back in 2019 during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships held in Kansas City, Missouri.

During her June 28 routine, Biles also incorporated the track “Delresto (Echoes)” by Travis Scott featuring Beyoncé. This remarkable performance helped her secure the top position in the first half of the women’s qualifying rounds.

Biles’ flawless execution on the floor, bars, and vault allowed her to compensate for minor wobbles during the beam event, ultimately finishing first.

At the Target Center in Minneapolis, Biles impressed audiences while being cheered on by her mom, Nellie, and her husband, Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens. Swift, on the other hand, is captivating crowds during the European leg of her Eras Tour.

Currently performing in Ireland, Swift recently dazzled fans with celebrity-filled shows in London, England, featuring a special appearance by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player, Travis Kelce.

While performing at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 28 and 29, Swift sported the colors of the Irish flag during the 1989 section of her show. She also shared some insights with the audience, mentioning how her pandemic-era album, Folklore, has ties to Ireland.

Swift explained, “Folklore, in general, it just belongs in Ireland,” after performing “Cardigan.” She added, “How I imagined the album world looking [was like] Ireland. Storytelling with lots of different characters. You guys have that on lock, too. That’s very Irish, the storytelling.”
