Steve Harvey proclaims his love for his wife on national television, and we are all impressed.

Steve Harvey’s life story is one of overcoming adversity. Harvey grew up in poverty because his father was a coal miner and his mother was a Sunday school teacher.

Many people are unaware that Steve’s real name is Broderick Stephen Harvey, named after actor Broderick Crawford, but he never used it and instead went by the name Steve. After a few years in Virginia, where he attended high school, Harvey and his family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio.

Before pursuing stand-up comedy, Harvey worked in a variety of jobs.

When he first heard about comedy clubs, he was a boxer, a carpet cleaner, a postman, and a car mechanic. “I had never even heard of a comedy club.” I had no idea they were there.”

He made his debut at Cleveland’s Hilarities Comedy Club in 1985. However, this was insufficient for Harvey to live a comfortable life.

He had been homeless for years and lived in his old car. But things were about to change for the young comedian, who is now regarded as one of the country’s best TV program hosts.

Harvey’s talent shined through due to his patience and hard work.

Soon after, he earned his own show, which was hugely popular, especially among African-Americans. From 1996 until 2002, he hosted “The Steve Harvey Show” on the WB network.

He has yet to reach out to a large number of people. Harvey, fortunately, did not have to wait long to establish himself. His performances garnered crowds from all across the country, and he is now one of the most well-known individuals in the entertainment sector.

The six-time Daytime Emmy Award winner has hosted Family Feud, Celebrity, Little Big Shots, radio shows, his own talk show, and four books. Harvey has remained grounded and has never forgotten his roots, despite his enormous success.

Steve has been married three times in his life.

The comedian has two children and a son with his first wife, Marcia Harvey.

After the marriage split in 1994, Harvey lost contact with his children because it appeared that he valued his career over his family and didn’t have much time for them.

“Years later, they said to me, ‘Dad, we didn’t understand why you left us, but we now know you had to go,’” Harvey recalled. ” You weren’t just another one of us. You were in the world.”

After they divorced, Harvey’s second wife, Mary Shackelford, with whom he has a son Wynton, accused him of infidelity. Harvey supposedly abandoned her and took her son away from her, but this was later revealed to be false.

He is now married to Marjorie Bridges, with whom he co-directs the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, which helps low-income families with mentoring, education, and financial assistance.

Harvey believes that he owes it to people who are trying to make ends meet to be there for them since he understands what it’s like to be less fortunate.

Harvey and Marjorie’s lives are typical of romantic comedies.

“I’m sorry, I don’t know who she is, but I’m going to marry her,” he said the first time he saw her in 1990, while she was trying to get to her front-row seat during one of his stand-up performances. When fate reunited them 15 years later, the comic maintained his word.

“I wish every woman can find a soulmate like I’ve been fortunate to find,” Marjorie said of Harvey. ” Without a doubt, this is my best friend.”

Harvey never fails to communicate his feelings for her and how much she means to him. On Mother’s Day 2015, the entire world witnessed a poignant disclosure he made on his broadcast.

Marjorie had no idea what her husband was about to do and merely stared at him, bewildered.

“I wanted to let you know…

“The first thing I ever told you was, ‘I’m going to marry you one day,’” he explained.

Harvey began his explanation. He then continued his impassioned speech by declaring that he would never be where he is now if she had not been by his side. She brightens his days and enriches his life, and she brings him joy and happiness.

“You made my children feel safe, and I existed before you, and I live today because of you.” “I never lived before you,” Harvey said. He adopted Marjorie’s three children from her previous marriage, and together with Harvey’s children, they make a nice big family.
