Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly’s beloved characters are reuniting on screen after a decade in the fresh ‘NCIS’ spinoff.
The newest addition to the NCIS family will feature Ziva David (de Pablo) and Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly) together again, for the first time in 10 years. The production has commenced in Budapest, and the full cast lineup is here! Fans of the series can look forward to Isla Gie, Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy joining as series regulars.
Isla Gie, known from ‘Foundation’, will play Tony and Ziva’s smart and spunky 12-year-old daughter Tali, who is tired of being babied. Amita Suman from ‘Shadow and Bone’ takes on the role of Claudette, the Chief Technical Officer at Tony’s security company.
Maximilian Osinski, who was a hit as Zava in ‘Ted Lasso’, will portray Boris, a Russian ex-pat and computer whiz. Emily in Paris’ Nassima Benchicou steps in as Martine, formerly a French intelligence officer. Julian Ovenden, known for ‘Bridgerton’, plays Jonah, a computer programmer turned Interpol’s Secretary General. Terence Maynard of ‘Coronation Street’ will bring Dr. Lang, an experienced therapist, to life.
Lara Rossi from ‘The Watch’ will fill the shoes of Sophie, a skilled former SAS agent, and James D’Arcy from ‘Agent Carter’ plays Henry, a high-ranking Interpol official.
Earlier this year, Weatherly and de Pablo hinted at the new show’s name during an entertaining Instagram video. They dismissed titles like NCIS: Europe and NCIS: Trust No One, finally zeroing in on the straightforward ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’.
De Pablo mentioned that the title communicates what fans can expect: Tony and Ziva’s adventures across Europe. She added, “I expect intrigue, romance, the background of Europe, impossible situations that will make our life very complicated but somehow a little something about love.”
Michael Weatherly originated his NCIS role in 2003 and left the series in 2016. In contrast, Cote de Pablo’s Ziva seemed to meet a grim fate in Season 13, a year before Weatherly’s exit.
