The family of the OWN star reportedly released a statement to social media personality Marcella Speaks on Tuesday, July 2.

KeKe Jabbar of OWN’s Love & Marriage: Huntsville has reportedly died. She was 42.

Social media personality Marcella Speaks announced Keke Jabbar’s death on Tuesday, July 2, after sharing a statement from Jabbar’s family. Marcella read the family’s heartfelt message during a YouTube live stream and conveyed that Jabbar passed away “peacefully at home surrounded in love.” The cause of her death has not been made public.

“It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be sorely missed, and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss. The Jabbar Family and the Scott Family,” the statement read.

Jabbar’s cousin and reality TV co-star, LaTisha Scott, took to Instagram on Tuesday to ask for privacy during this difficult time.

“At this time we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss! This is hard for our family!” Scott wrote.

Following the news of Jabbar’s passing, fans poured out their love and condolences in the comment section of her last Instagram post, which was a video from May 26. The video showed Jabbar talking about her new swim wig line while celebrating Memorial Day weekend with her family by the pool.

“Rest In Peace KeKe 🕊️,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Wow! Terrible and tragic news! She can finally be at peace. 🕊️.”

“Wow…😢 R.I.P., Keke. 💔🥺 You were a real one, honey. Fly high. 🕊️,” a user commented.

Several social media users expressed their hope that Jabbar’s wig line will continue in her honor. “😢🕊️I hope someone makes sure that her line comes out.💜,” one user wrote.

Ahead of her Memorial Day Instagram post, Jabbar had shared several joyous photos celebrating her oldest son Amaree’s high school graduation.

She leaves behind her three children, her husband, her parents, and her cousins.
