The Lemme co-founder shared her choice to stay home for 40 days on this week’s episode of ‘The Kardashians’
Kourtney Kardashian Barker, known for her role on ‘The Kardashians’ and as the Lemme co-founder, chose not to leave her house for 40 days after giving birth to her baby Rocky Thirteen.
In the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians,’ Kourtney, now 45, shared her decision to stay home after the birth of her newborn son. While chatting with her sisters Kim and Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney explained her reasoning.
“Can you believe you are a mom of four?” Kim asked Kourtney. She replied with a smile, “Yeah, mom of four.”
Kim reminisced about her own parenting journey, saying, “Sometimes, I’m like damn, I wish I could do it all over. The one thing I would do is be so strict from the start.”
“I’m doing, like, where you stay home for 40 days,” Kourtney shared. Surprised, Khloé responded, “You’re staying home for 40 days and 40 nights?”
In a heartfelt confessional, Kourtney shared more about her choice, emphasizing the importance of healing after childbirth.
“In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days, to let your body have that time to heal and beyond that,” she said. “I’m really into attachment parenting. I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now; my time is dedicated to taking care of my baby and bonding with him.”
Returning to the conversation with her sisters, Khloé light-heartedly joked, “Then you’re gonna go to a rave.”
Kourtney laughed, responding, “No, I just feel like I don’t wanna even go anywhere still.”
Khloé added humorously, “Welcome to my daily life. I haven’t had a baby and I’m still doing the 40 days.”
In June, Kourtney and her husband, Travis Barker, shared a cozy moment with their 8-month-old son Rocky on Instagram Stories. The adorable snap was taken by Travis’ daughter, Alabama Luella, who captioned it, “My favorite people 🫶.”
In the picture, Kourtney, dressed in a black sweater, cuddled her son while Travis sat beside them, casually dressed with his hood up. The family appeared to be traveling in a vehicle, with Alabama sharing additional photos from a private jet, noting their location as Houston, Texas.
