J.Lo Celebrates Family Love Onstage

Introducing Emme with Gender Neutral Pronouns

Jennifer Lopez, a talented artist and a loving mother, recently shared a heartwarming moment with her child Emme Muñiz during a performance. Before inviting Emme to sing a duet on stage, J.Lo couldn’t help but shower her 14-year-old with compliments. And during this special occasion, fans noticed something interesting – Lopez used they/them pronouns for Emme.

Lopez playfully teased the audience about her surprise guest, saying, “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this. And I ask them to sing with me all the time and they won’t. So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey. They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time.” It’s clear that J.Lo thinks the world of Emme.

Emme then joined their mom onstage, holding a bedazzled rainbow microphone. Together, they sang beautiful songs including “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, “Born In The USA” by Bruce Springsteen, and J.Lo’s iconic hit “Let’s Get Loud.” According to an eyewitness, the performance was filled with love and sweetness. J.Lo and Emme hugged each other multiple times and shared special moments singing to each other.

This wasn’t the first time Emme joined her mom onstage. They also performed together during Lopez’s 2020 Super Bowl performance and her It’s My Party Tour in 2019. Emme even expressed their joy in a YouTube video, saying how much they love being on stage and seeing their mom perform. “I like being up on the stage and the dancers are all behind me because every show, I look in a different direction to see who’s behind me. My favorite person to see is my mom.” It’s absolutely adorable.

Emme has not publicly spoken about their pronouns, but what matters most is the love and support J.Lo shows for her child. With gender-neutral pronouns, Lopez emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and acceptance. This heartwarming family performance reminds us of the beauty of unconditional love and celebrating our loved ones in whatever way feels right to them.
