In a moving video, the star of “Young and the Restless,” Eric Braeden, reveals his cancer diagnosis.

Actor Eric Braeden from Germany has admitted he has cancer and is undergoing treatment.

The 82-year-old took part in a Facebook Live session toward the end of last week and revealed that while recovering from knee replacement surgery, he had experienced prostate issues.

He was subsequently given a diagnosis by a physician after high-grade cancer cells near his bladder were found.

The actor stated, “I’m sorry to be so frank, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this.”

Before having an UroLift treatment, Braeden, who received an Emmy for playing Victor Newman on the venerable CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, experienced prostate issues.

The cancer cells were discovered, though, and he underwent surgery to remove them before beginning a six-week immunotherapy regimen.

The 82-year-old was open with his admirers about his condition and pleaded for them to be there for loved ones in a similar situation.

Braeden remarked, “I’ve learned to listen to my body more and not go all out.”

“So if you’ve noticed that I’ve been feeling a little under the weather, I have, but I’ll lick this. This idiot is not going to succeed in getting me; I will. I’ll soon be back to my best.”

The actor stated, “So that’s where I am right now. It could work out. You can survive cancer thanks to the remarkable developments in contemporary cancer treatments.”

Braeden is looking forward to returning to The Young and the Restless, where he has played the same part regularly since 1980.

He said, “I’m still glad I can go to work.”

“It gives me vertigo. I like to act. I hope I can make people laugh. And sure, I do value your help. It is important.”

Let’s all hope for the best for Eric Braeden in the future. I look forward to the day when all cancer cases have been cured.
