Famous individual shares candid insights about Oprah Winfrey’s realities

Former “Charmed” star Rose McGowan, known for her outspokenness and courage, recently caused a stir with a tweet about Oprah Winfrey. McGowan accused the former talk show host of being fake and a liar, specifically questioning her support for the #MeToo movement.

In her tweet, McGowan shared an old photo of Oprah smiling alongside convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein and wrote, “I am glad more are seeing the ugly truth of @Oprah. I wish she were real, but she isn’t.” She continued, mentioning Oprah’s association with Weinstein and her alleged abandonment and destruction of Russell Simmons’ victims, claiming that she supports a sick power structure for personal gain.

Oprah had recently stepped down from her role as an executive producer of Russell Simmons’ #MeToo documentary, citing a lack of creative unity and the need for more clarity on the victims’ stories. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Oprah emphasized her support for the women who have endured sexual assault and the importance of their stories being told and heard.

Regarding her previous association with Weinstein, Oprah expressed that she was not aware of his alleged behavior at the time, saying, “Everybody has a story, so I believe this is a turning point. We’re going to miss this opportunity if we only make it about Harvey Weinstein.”

McGowan continued her Twitter thread by conveying a message to the “evil creeps in all industries, all nations,” and linked Lily Allen’s 2009 song “Fuck You.” McGowan is among the actresses who have accused Weinstein of rape.
