During a cozy meeting with Democratic governors at the White House Wednesday night, President Joe Biden shared some reassuring news. He mentioned that after last week’s debate, he had a brief medical checkup and is in good health, as per two individuals who were present at the meeting.

One person acquainted with the president’s schedule told ABC News that Biden had a checkup with a White House physician a few days post-debate due to a cold. This individual stated that it was a swift examination without any major tests involved.

Another person who attended the meeting highlighted that President Biden assured the Democratic governors that he was in good health.

ABC News has requested further comments from the White House on this matter.

Earlier on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre addressed questions regarding whether the president had undergone any medical examinations since his last physical in February.

“We spoke with his doctor, and the answer is no,” she stated.

When questioned again about any other medical exams, she reaffirmed, “No.”
