Beyoncé Congratulates Daughter Blue Ivy for Winning BET YoungStars Award

Blue Ivy Carter has added another impressive accolade to her collection. This time, she took home the 2024 BET YoungStars Award. While the win wasn’t televised, her superstar mom, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, made sure to publicly congratulate her eldest daughter on this significant achievement.

The award ceremony, often referred to as culture’s biggest night, took place on Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Although Beyoncé and her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, both nominated for awards, were not present at the event, their presence was strongly felt.

The YoungStars Award celebrates young entertainers who’ve made a mark in television, film, music, or sports. Blue Ivy was in fine company, with fellow nominees like Akira Akbar, Demi Singleton, Heiress Diana Harris, JaBria McCullum, Jalyn Hall, Leah Jeffries, and 5-year-old rapper Van Van, who gave a memorable performance during the show.

While not all winners were revealed during the live broadcast, BET later confirmed Blue Ivy’s victory. Proud mom Beyoncé and her Parkwood Entertainment shared the news on Instagram with a heartwarming post that read, “Congratulations to Blue Ivy Carter on winning the 2024 BET Youngstars Award!”

Blue Ivy is no stranger to making history. She became the youngest person to appear on a Billboard chart with her feature on Jay-Z’s 2012 song “Glory.” More recently, her younger sister Rumi Carter set a record as the youngest female artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to her feature on Beyoncé’s song “Protector.”

Blue Ivy also holds the distinction of being the youngest winner of a BET Award, clinching the Her Award for “Brown Skin Girl.”

Of course, she’s following in her mother’s footsteps. The “Cowboy Carter” creator was nominated for five awards at the show, including best movie for “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” best female R&B/pop artist, best collaboration for “America Has a Problem (Remix),” viewer’s choice award for “Texas Hold ‘Em” and the Her Award for “16 Carriages.” She won the viewer’s choice award.
