Pole Vaulter Alysha Newman Twerks After Winning Medal at Paris Olympics

The Canadian athlete, who has a popular OnlyFans account, jumped over 16 feet during the event final.

Alysha Newman is celebrating her bronze medal at the Paris Summer Olympics!

Shortly after winning Canada’s first-ever medal in pole vault, the athlete — who has a popular OnlyFans account — twerked for the crowd at Stade de France on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

In videos taken from the event final, the 30-year-old secured the third-place finish and then was seen pumping her fist into the air and dancing for fans along the stadium’s track.

Newman has drawn attention for her OnlyFans persona, but she told the German newspaper BILD that pursuing the side gig makes her “confident” — and helps her in her athletic accomplishments.

“Of course, many people have a certain cliché when they think of OnlyFans. I can’t change many people’s minds,” Newman told the outlet.

She added, “But this website has connected me with many fans, more than any other pole vaulter before. What others think about it doesn’t bother me. I am who I am and I do it well.”

During the three-hour-long competition on Wednesday, 19 athletes jumped to new heights in pursuit of the gold medal. Australian Nina Kennedy ultimately rose to the occasion, posting a 4.9 meter (just over 16 feet) jump.

Team USA’s Katie Moon — who took home gold in the event at the Tokyo Olympics — won silver with her 4.85 meter jump.

For Newman, achieving the Olympic milestone has only helped to increase her profile on the subscription-based service.

But she told BILD that new fans shouldn’t expect to see all of the Ontario native.
