We’re less than three years away from the first space hotel with bars and cinema opening its doors

Are you excited about the prospect of technological advancements that could see you travel in space on your next vacation?

Well, it might be a lot sooner than you thought!

A Big Leap Into Space

The Gateway Foundation recently announced that it will be the first company to launch a hotel in space, named the Voyager Station.

With hopes of completing the project in 2027, this dream will be crafted by Orbital Assembly Corporation, the world’s first large-scale space construction company.

Imagine, just in a few years, you could be planning your vacation to the stars!

Building a Futuristic Getaway

This ambitious project will create a 50,000-square-metre rotating hotel capable of hosting up to 440 people. The clever design will provide gravity similar to one-sixth of our Earth’s, making it a novelty for all who visit.

The construction is set to commence in 2026, with the hotel doors swinging open the following year—perfect for those who can’t wait!

Luxurious Amenities in Space

Besides the standard comforts, the Voyager Station will boast 24 habitation modules featuring living quarters, restaurants, gyms, bars, and even rooms for scientific research.

Just imagine a space hotel with the warmth and feel of a luxury earthbound resort, filled with neutral colors that soothe the soul.

Tim Alatorre, a senior design architect, emphasizes that this hotel won’t be the sterile white environment you might recall from old sci-fi movies.

On board, the accommodations will also include some luxury villas stretching up to 500 square meters. These villas can even be rented permanently, offering ample space for up to 16 people, with three bathrooms and a spacious kitchen.

The Gateway Foundation is pulling all the stops to bring the comforts of home into the outer world, ensuring the space hotel experience will rival the best venues on Earth.

Dining Among the Stars

With full-service kitchens, you can expect dishes that you would find on a luxury cruise ship or at a major hotel. Don’t worry about food logistics; they’ve been perfected by the cruise ship industry years ago.

Interestingly, a spectacular water feature in the hotel will seemingly defy gravity, adding a fascinating touch to the entire experience.

Despite the complex technology, the Gateway Foundation aims to make space travel accessible to everyone, not just billionaires.

Their ultimate goal is to turn space tourism into a viable and, one day, common vacation choice.

Are you ready to pack your bags and set course for the final frontier?
