Country Singer Rory Feek Remarries 8 Years After Death of His Wife Joey: ‘Blessed to Be Given the Opportunity to Love Again’

Feek also shared in a blog post that his and Joey’s 10-year-old daughter, Indiana, inspired him to remarry

Rory Feek has found love again — and it’s all thanks, in part, to his daughter, Indiana.

The country music singer and songwriter, aged 59, revealed that eight years after the passing of his beloved wife and singing partner, Joey Feek, he has tied the knot once more. This time, he wed his partner and teacher, Rebecca, on Sunday, July 14.

Feek shared in a heartfelt blog post that the couple exchanged vows “under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion” in Greycliff, Montana. The intimate ceremony was attended by close family and friends, including his daughter with Joey, 10-year-old Indiana.

Feek surprised his new bride with a special song he wrote for her titled “I do.” The touching lyrics express his gratitude for her love and his joy at finding her. The music video for the song provides glimpses of their wedding day, capturing the bride in a long-sleeved lace dress with an elegant updo and cascading veil. Feek, dressed in a red velvet vest, white button-up shirt, and beige slacks, stood beside her at the altar before serenading her with the heartfelt tune.

“I found myself thinking about how blessed I was to be given the opportunity to love again,” Feek wrote about the inspiration behind the song. “To not only feel loved, but to get the chance to give love again. To be the one who gets to spend my life making Rebecca happy.”

Rebecca smiled brightly and shed tears of joy as Feek played his guitar and sang to her in front of their guests. Following the song, the couple gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes and held hands as the minister conducted the rest of the ceremony.

The ceremony was made even more special with the presence of Indiana, who served as a bridesmaid and joined in the celebration with a sweet hug. Feek shared that his daughter was the driving force behind his decision to remarry. He recounted how Indiana saw Rebecca as her “school teacher and friend” and how he cautiously observed her reaction to their relationship.

One day in March, Indiana approached him with a significant message. “I asked Indy, and she told me that she said, ‘Ms. Rebecca, I think you should marry Papa,’” Feek recalled. “And then Indy looked at me and said, ‘And I told Miss Rebecca that my Mama’s been gone a long time. And if she marries you, maybe she could be my new mother…’”

“As I wiped away some tears, I told her I thought that was a wonderful idea,” Feek continued, describing how they began planning the wedding soon after.

In his blog, Feek highlighted a touching moment from the wedding where he hugged Rebecca and Indiana. “I think by far my and her favorite moment of the wedding was this one. When Indiana was given the gift of having a Mama in her life again. And Rebecca was given the gift of being a mother. And we became a family,” he shared.
