Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are Kids’ Choice Awards winners!
The couple scooped up four awards collectively, with Swift taking home most of the trophies at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 on Saturday, July 13, even though they didn’t attend the ceremony this year.
Swift, 34, won three awards — favorite female artist, favorite global music star, and favorite ticket of the year for her Eras Tour. Kelce, also 34, won one award for favorite male sports star.
The pair’s big win came as Kelce participated in the 2024 American Century Championship in Nevada, and Swift performed her Eras show in Milan on the same day.
Other winners included Simone Biles for favorite female sports star, Margot Robbie and Timothée Chalamet for favorite movie actors in Barbie and Wonka, and Serena Williams, who received the Legend Gold Blimp Award.
Swift and Kelce first went public with their romance in October 2023, following the singer’s appearance at one of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games. Since then, they have been seen traveling together and supporting each other at various events.
During her Milan performance on July 13, Swift’s concert briefly paused as she appeared to swallow a bug during the secret songs segment.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Swift coughed and told the crowd, “I knew it would happen ’cause there’s so many bugs here tonight,” while performing a surprise mashup of “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew.” She added, “It’ll be fine, I just need to cough a little,” and continued with the show.
Remarkably, this wasn’t the first time Swift swallowed a bug during her tours; it also happened in London in June and in Chicago in 2023.
Meanwhile, on the same day in Nevada, Kelce was seen singing along to Swift’s hit “Cruel Summer” during the 2024 American Century Championship.
In videos posted to X, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end sang along during the celebrity tournament, making a crying gesture as the lyrics, “Cried like a baby coming home from the bar,” played and bopping his head to the music.
It seems that despite their busy schedules, these two stars keep shining brightly, bringing joy to their fans worldwide!
