NBA Champ Jaylen Brown and WNBA Player Kysre Gondrezick Go Red Carpet Official at 2024 ESPYS

Brown won best championship performance at the show for leading the Boston Celtics to the 2024 NBA championship

Meet basketball’s new “it” couple!

After weeks of a rumored romance between NBA champion Jaylen Brown and free-agent WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick, the pro-hoopers made their relationship official when they walked the red carpet at the 2024 ESPY Awards on Thursday, July 11.

Brown, 27, and Gondrezick, 26, stunned in matching black outfits at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. Gondrezick’s dress featured lovely lace details and a high collar, while Brown accessorized his look with a stylish broach and sunglasses.

During the ESPYS red carpet livestream on ESPN.com, Brown proudly called Gondrezick his “beautiful date.”

The couple first sparked romance rumors when she was seen beside him during his NBA championship celebrations.

Just before their red carpet debut at the ESPYS, the two were seen boarding a van to the show and walking arm in arm by TMZ.

Brown was named Finals MVP in June for leading the Celtics to their eighteenth banner at TD Garden.

At Thursday’s show, Brown won the award for best championship performance. During his speech, Brown thanked ESPN, his teammates, the Celtics organization, and his “beautiful mother.”

“God is the greatest of all time,” Brown concluded in his acceptance speech.

Gondrezick, meanwhile, was recently waived from the Chicago Sky, where she played alongside and developed a close friendship with Angel Reese. The two often share posts from their outings together on Instagram and make TikTok videos.

Before her relationship with Brown, Gondrezick was linked to NBA player Kevin Porter Jr. In September, Porter Jr., 24, was arrested after an alleged assault involving Gondrezick at a Manhattan hotel.

Local NBC 4 reported that Gondrezick was taken to a local hospital with a broken bone and bruising after the incident.

An NYPD spokesperson said she had lacerations on the right side of her face and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police alleged that Porter Jr. “struck her multiple times about the body and placed his hands around her neck.” Porter Jr. pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and a harassment violation in January.

Despite being waived by the Sky last month, Gondrezick, who was drafted fourth overall in 2021, still has the potential to be signed by another WNBA team.
