“When he tells you he’s going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break,” Lively wrote alongside a video of her husband with a water gun.
Blake Lively is having a bit of fun at the expense of her husband Ryan Reynolds and his idea of ‘work’!
The It Ends with Us star, 36, had some fun on social media, joking about Reynolds’ recent antics with his Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman after they were seen playing with water guns onstage at the 2024 Waterbomb Festival in Seoul, South Korea, on Friday, July 5.
On her Instagram Stories, Lively reshared a video of Reynolds, 47, holding a yellow water gun and playfully soaking the audience, who eagerly returned the favor. Over the video, she humorously wrote, “When he tells you he’s going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break.”
She also added a GIF that said, “You are in serious trouble,” and jokingly suggested that Reynolds and Jackman’s new film should be renamed “Boys Gone Wild: A Deadpool and Wolverine Story.”
The 2024 Waterbomb Festival was the latest stop for the dynamic duo on their press tour across Asia to promote their upcoming movie. They earlier visited Shanghai on July 3, with Reynolds sharing some photos from that trip on Instagram.
The snapshots showcased the actors alongside the movie’s director, Shawn Levy, as they explored the area and attended a screening. Reynolds expressed his gratitude to the fans in Shanghai in his caption.
“As we make our way to Korea, we want to thank the people of Shanghai for the incredible hospitality and warmth,” he wrote. “I’ve been lucky to visit China five times — and as of today, the beautiful sights and sounds of Shanghai for a third time. Thank you from the heart of our bottom.”
Jackman, 55, and Reynolds have been friends since they co-starred in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which marked Reynolds’ first big screen portrayal of Deadpool.
Reynolds previously opened up about the key to their enduring friendship, saying he believes the “secret sauce to a long-lasting Hollywood friendship is not too dissimilar to having a partner or a marriage.”
“I am genuinely rooting for you, all the time. I want you to win,” he told Jackman during the interview. “It’s the same way I feel about Blake. As I’m rooting for her, I know she’s rooting for me, and it’s why we’re so connected.”
Deadpool & Wolverine is in theaters July 26.
