Street Outlaws Star Lizzy Musi Dead at 33 Following Diagnosis with Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Lizzy Musi’s father, Pat Musi, announced that she died “surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her own home.”

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings driver Lizzy Musi has passed away at the young age of 33 after battling stage 4 breast cancer.

The announcement was made by her father, Pat Musi, in a heartfelt post on Facebook on Thursday, June 27. Pat’s message began, “Surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight.” He continued by expressing gratitude for the prayers and support and mentioned that the family would like some private time to grieve and make arrangements. Updates will be shared once available.

Fans flocked to the comments section of Lizzy’s last Instagram post from May 31, which was taken at Medias Klinikum Burghausen, a cancer treatment facility in Germany. The photo she posted showed a bouquet of red roses and a note in a hospital room. The caption read, “Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers Mikey!! ❤️ made my morning on top of great news this morning!!”

Following the sad news of her death, fans left heartfelt messages after her passing. “Long live you💔🕊️ race in heaven Lizzy,” wrote one follower. Another added, “RIP to a legend! You’ll be missed.” A third simply stated, “RIP DRAG RACING LEGEND.”

Lizzy first shared her cancer diagnosis in an emotional Instagram post in April 2023. She wrote, “Hey everyone, I haven’t been able to have much time to post due to an unexpected life change. A few days ago I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has moved from my lymph nodes to my liver. I have a rough journey ahead of me. I appreciate everyone’s messages and calls. 💗”

Two months later, Lizzy let her followers know she had shaved her head because of “extreme hair loss.” She explained, “Kye shaved it for me and it was at the race track. I don’t think I would have had it any other way. Every time I brushed my hair, it would just fall out in clumps. I had bald spots and excessive shedding; it was just getting to the point where I was ready to take that step.”

“Well, here is the new me. Some days are tough to look in the mirror, but there are days where I feel stronger than ever,” she added.

Lizzy Musi, originally from North Carolina, found fame on the Discovery Channel series Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, which is a spinoff of the original Street Outlaws show. It first aired in 2018. She was featured on the series alongside her father Pat, who is a renowned eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion.

Regrettably, Lizzy’s passing follows the death of another Street Outlaws driver, Ryan Fellows, who died at the age of 41 following a car accident in August 2022. Additionally, Street Outlaws star Christopher “Kentucky” Ellis passed away at the age of 39 in September 2020 after being found dead in his home in Oklahoma City.
