Someone In Colorado Is Putting Up The Funniest Signs, And Here Are 50 Of The Best New Ones

If posting funny puns was a sport, this guy would take all the medals! Meet Vince Rozmiarek from the small town of Indian Hills, Colorado, who has been spreading laughter through his witty signs for almost a decade.

Vince started volunteering at the local community center back in 2013 and found himself in charge of its roadside message board. On April Fools’ Day of that year, he decided to post a joke instead of the usual community announcements. The town was tickled pink, and the tradition was born.

“There’s a heavy police presence in the neighboring town of Morrison, where a lot of speeding tickets are issued,” Vince explained. “One day, I put up the sign ‘Indian Hills annexed by Morrison,’ and boy, did it get some attention!” He even got a call from the Morrison Police Department an hour later.

The Indian Hills Community Sign Facebook page now boasts over 162,000 followers, all eager to see Vince’s latest jokes. His posts are filled with love and appreciation from fans who share their own puns or simply express their gratitude for the joy he brings.

As Vince says, “I’m a man with time on my hands. My three kids are all grown, and people could use a good laugh.”

Sometimes his puns push the envelope. Like the time he posted, “Old McDonald had OCD — EE II OO.” It sparked some controversy, but Vince took it in stride.

Even with a few bumps along the way, Vince continues to delight his community and online followers with his creativity and humor.

Vince searches through the internet and his beloved collection of pun books, often drawing inspiration from the golden days of humor in the ‘40s and ‘50s. He tweaks old jokes to give them a fresh twist.

Although Vince might borrow a pun or two, he never repeats jokes and always adds his unique flair.

One political pun he posted during the 2016 presidential election read, “The problem with political jokes is that they sometimes get elected.”

But outside of that, he stays clear of political humor to ensure everyone can enjoy his work.

Here’s a look at some of Vince’s top signs. These clever quips are sure to brighten your day!

“Obesity runs in my family… wait, no one runs in my family!”

“Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!”

The man’s cleverness has had an unexpected but welcome effect: outsiders now regularly come in search of Indian Hills and pull off the road to pose for pictures by his signs.

‘Someone’? Are you saying it’s not Vince the sign guy?

Indian Hills was founded in the 1920s as a vacation-cabin development for Denverites and a way for the landowners, the Van Derbur undertaking family, to make money. This was before subdivision regulations, so the lots were tiny, and the cabins were not well built. There was no municipal water supply, no sewer system, and the roads were all dirt. The area became a hotbed of Ku Klux Klan activity. In 1957, Marilyn Van Derbur was named Miss America 1958. When she was 53, she revealed that she had suffered child incest from age 5 to 18 by her father.

With his creativity and humor, Vince continues to bring joy to his community and beyond. Enjoy more of his best signs below!
