Ashley Benson Denies Using Ozempic, Says She Worked ‘Very Hard’ to Get Her ‘Body Back’ After Giving Birth

The actress, who welcomed her daughter in February, called the social media comments accusing her of taking the weight loss drug “funny”

Ashley Benson is setting the record straight about her post-baby weight loss journey.

On Monday, June 17, the 34-year-old actress responded to claims suggesting she used the diabetes drug Ozempic to shed pounds after the birth of her daughter in February. This speculation arose after she shared a mirror selfie earlier that day.

In the Instagram photo, Benson struck a pose in a dressing room, wearing a red cap, sunglasses, a black tank top, and gray sweatpants. She captioned the snapshot, “My fav hat.”

This post quickly sparked comments about her appearance, with one user exclaiming, “How was she JUST pregnant?!?” Another user chimed in with a photo of an Ozempic advertisement, insinuating that it was her secret to weight loss.

“Comments like this are so funny to me,” Benson shared on her Instagram Stories, reposting the remarks alongside the Ozempic ad.

“I know a lot of people take ozempic and that’s totally fine. To each their own. But don’t discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I’ve done with mine,” she added. The Pretty Little Liars star highlighted her efforts to focus on her health, get back into shape, and feel confident again. She also credited the support of the @melissawoodtepperberg health and wellness app for her progress.

Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis, joyfully announced the arrival of their daughter on February 29. The couple, who had tied the knot in July 2023, had earlier revealed that they were expecting their first child.

During a recent chat at the launch of the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott Car Collection in Los Angeles, Benson opened up about her experiences as a new mother.

“Being a new mom is a wonderful adventure,” she shared with a warm smile. Benson gushed about her baby girl’s delight in dressing up, saying, “Oh my God, it’s so much fun. She’s mostly in cute little onesies right now, but we have a vacation planned for the end of summer. I’ve got a collection of adorable dresses and accessories for her. Having a girl is the best.”

Benson’s joy and dedication to both her family and personal health are clearly evident, as she continues to balance her new role as a mother with her career and well-being.
