The divorce between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has been making headlines for years, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier. There are new, alarming claims coming to light.
Recently, a former security guard for Brad and Angelina has revealed some concerning allegations about Jolie’s actions during their marriage.
According to court documents obtained by the media, Pitt’s legal team says that the former security guard, Tony Webb, reported that Jolie instructed the children not to speak to Pitt during custody visits.
The documents also allege that Jolie attempted to use non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to silence the security guards about this matter.
These revelations are part of the long-standing legal battle over their shared Château Miraval vineyard. The case involves numerous disputes about the use of NDAs and related issues.
Webb, who was the head of Jolie’s security for two decades and continued in that role for about four years after their divorce, stated that Jolie required him and his contractors to sign NDAs concerning personal and professional details of her family’s life.
After the couple split, they entered a bitter custody battle over their six children. Webb claimed he received calls from Jolie’s representatives, reminding him that his staff had signed NDAs and that Jolie would sue them if they testified in the custody dispute.
Webb conveyed this message to his contractors, who affirmed they would testify if subpoenaed, despite the threats.
One of the contractors allegedly told Webb they would testify about Jolie telling the children to avoid spending time with Pitt during visits. Both security contractors testified in court, despite Jolie’s threats, and shortly after, Webb’s company was terminated.
Interestingly, Webb himself didn’t hear Jolie’s alleged instructions about the children but is now employed by Pitt.
Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy, spoke to the media, stating, “Mr. Pitt’s continued attempt to equate common NDAs for security personnel and housekeepers covering confidential information employees learn at work, with him demanding an expanded NDA to ensure the continued coverup of his deplorable actions remains shameful.” “This case is not about NDAs in general, but about power and control. All Angelina has ever wanted was separation and health, with positive relationships between all members of their family, including Mr. Pitt. She looks forward to the day when he is finally able to let her go,” the statement further read.
These new allegations emerge shortly after Jolie’s lawyer claimed Pitt had been physically abusive towards her, dating back even before the infamous 2016 plane incident, which she cites as her breaking point for seeking a divorce.
The recent motion from Jolie’s legal team primarily revolves around the dispute over their ownership shares in Château Miraval. Jolie’s team demands responses and documents explaining why Pitt conditioned his purchase of Jolie’s share on her agreeing to a significantly expanded NDA, including Pitt’s personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not.
Jolie insists this requirement is Pitt’s effort to cover up alleged abuse towards her and their children.
Despite authorities investigating the 2016 plane incident, Pitt was never charged with a crime.
Contrarily, Pitt’s lawyers suggest it was Jolie and her team who initially requested a broader NDA.
