On Saturday, June 1, Lori Dewitt wore a striking green floral dress to her daughter Amanda LeBlanc’s wedding.
One mother is gaining attention for the dress she wore to her daughter’s wedding.
On Saturday, June 1, Lori Dewitt donned a green floral dress at her daughter Amanda LeBlanc’s wedding held at Hotel Peter and Paul in New Orleans. Dewitt discovered the dress at Flora on Madison on Madison Avenue in New York City, with help from a friend in the fashion industry who connected her with the store’s staff.
“Amanda and Amelia, another of my daughters, were with me when I found the dress! Amanda loved it,” Dewitt shares exclusively.
“I felt absolutely beautiful in the dress, and our entire family adored it,” she adds.
Following the wedding, Chloe LeBlanc, the couple’s wedding content creator, posted a TikTok video showing Dewitt walking down the aisle in the gown, with the caption, “The most stunning MOB dress we’ve ever seen!!!!”
The TikTok video quickly went viral, amassing over 1.6 million views. Many comments expressed concern that Dewitt’s dress was outshining her daughter’s moment.
“Don’t get me wrong, she does look stunning in that dress, but it’s a bit much on a day where her daughter should’ve been the star of the show,” one commenter noted.
Despite the criticism, Dewitt stands by her choice, saying she has “no regrets” about wearing the dress. Numerous people also praised her outfit choice.
“Finally! A MOB dress that is NOT DOWDY,” one person commented. “Love this for both of them.”
“I’ve never seen a MOB dress I like until now. Absolutely stunning,” someone else wrote.
Reflecting on the experience, Dewitt encourages other mothers of the bride to find a dress that makes them feel beautiful and confident.
“It was an amazing weekend all around — everything was perfect! Amanda and Andrew truly had the best and most special wedding week,” Dewitt says.
