Selena Gomez has been quite the busy bee, filming ‘Only Murders in the Building’ in New York City right after making a stunning appearance at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, couldn’t be happier to have her back.

On Wednesday, June 12, the music producer shared a heartfelt snap of the actress on his Instagram Stories, simply writing “she’s back” over the photo. In the picture, Gomez, with her hair tied up in a bun, appears to be resting comfortably, partially covering her makeup-free face with a blanket.

It’s apparent that these lovebirds are overjoyed to be in each other’s company again. Gomez, who has been juggling multiple professional commitments, took a breather to relax, as per Blanco’s candid capture of her serene moment.

The touching reconnection comes right after Gomez’s public revelation about her personal plans before meeting Blanco. Last month, she disclosed that she had been planning to adopt a baby on her own before their relationship blossomed.

“I was alone for five years and got really used to it,” Gomez revealed in an interview with TIME. “A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was to adopt at 35 if I hadn’t met anyone.”

But fate had other plans, as her friendship with Blanco eventually turned romantic. “It just happens when you least expect it,” she said.

The couple confirmed their relationship in December 2023 and publicly appeared together for the first time at the 2024 Emmys in January. They have since been navigating a long-distance relationship while Gomez attends to her work commitments in New York.

A source close to the couple shared with PEOPLE in December, “They are so in love. It’s a very serious relationship, and they’re making long distance work while she’s in New York for work commitments.”
