Eric Dane’s Daughters Have Seen ‘Every Episode’ of Grey’s Anatomy — and Jokes They’ll ‘Never’ Watch Euphoria

The actor, well-known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan, spent multiple seasons on the beloved medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy.

Eric Dane’s daughters are undeniably big fans of his character, Dr. Mark Sloan!

The 51-year-old actor recently chatted with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, revealing just how much his daughters Billie, 14, and Georgia, 12, love Grey’s Anatomy during his appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark.

Eric, who shares his daughters with ex Rebecca Gayheart, humorously mentioned that escaping conversations about the show seems nearly impossible for him.

Dane admitted that he hadn’t watched many of the newer episodes of Grey’s Anatomy himself, having only seen “a few episodes,” yet pointed out, “My daughters have seen every episode.”

“They’ve watched everything,” he noted, adding that they discovered the series on a streaming platform.

He also commented on his experience revisiting the show through his daughters’ eyes, saying, “Watching it again felt strange. I was there when it happened, so I didn’t need to watch it again. You start to notice things you shouldn’t be focusing on.”

Dane’s character first appeared in Grey’s Anatomy’s second season as a guest star, Dr. Mark Sloan. The role gained so much popularity that he became a mainstay from seasons 3 to 9 and even made a comeback in a special 2021 episode.

When Ripa, 53, inquired if Dane allowed his daughters to watch Euphoria, where he portrays Cal Jacobs, he humorously responded with a firm, “Never.”

In a 2019 interview at the premiere of Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, Rebecca Gayheart shared insights about her co-parenting relationship with Dane.

“We’ve found a new normal for our family,” she disclosed, adding that while it has been challenging, they have adjusted well. “It wasn’t easy at first, but now we have so many options ahead of us. Thankfully, our kids are happy and healthy.”

“Eric and I remain friends and do our best to co-parent and maintain family unity, even though we are separated legally. We’re still married, but separated,” she explained at the time. “I think we’re doing a pretty good job. Life is just good; there are so many exciting things on the horizon.”
