The ‘Atlas’ star announced this week that she was “heartsick and devastated” to cancel her This Is Me … Live tour
Jennifer Lopez spent time with her team amid her summer tour cancellation announcement.
The Atlas star, 54, was photographed outside of Mihran K. Studios in Burbank, California, on Friday, May 31 — the same day that Live Nation announced she’d no longer be embarking on her This Is Me … Live tour.
Lopez wore a beige outfit and a pair of shades as she hugged and smiled with her team members.
Live Nation said that the show, which was set to run from June to August, was canceled because Lopez is “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
The “Can’t Get Enough” singer further explained her decision to step back from her summer tour when she released a statement to fans on her OntheJLo website on Friday.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” Lopez wrote.
She added, “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
This Is Me … Live would have marked Lopez’s first headlining tour since 2019’s It’s My Party Tour, which earned her the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Award for tour of the year.
The tour cancellation comes amid marital issues between the singer and her husband, Ben Affleck, and following the success of Lopez’s new Netflix film Atlas — which has already reached No. 1 in 55 countries since its May 24 release.
Lopez married Affleck, 51, in 2022, after they rekindled their relationship from the early 2000s.
On Friday a source shared that the pair “want to put the kids first” despite the marriage strain, and “have always been very family-oriented.”
