In her 2023 poetry book ‘Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,’ Megan Fox shared the heartbreaking news of a miscarriage she experienced with her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly.
Machine Gun Kelly recently revealed a very personal wood carving project, sharing its special meaning with his fans.
On May 23, the rapper and actor, whose real name is Colson Baker, posted a touching video on TikTok. The video showed him crafting a miniature Norwegian-style boat from beginning to end.
The video features clips of MGK working meticulously on the boat, carving it from a block of wood, sculpting it with various tools, and finishing it with wood varnish before adding the sails and oars.
In his final clip, he proudly says, “I just finished the boat. These are the final details of the ship.”
In the caption, he revealed the deeper meaning behind his project, dedicating it to the baby they lost. “My first wood carving. For a special soul that will be found again,” he wrote, accompanied by a heart-hands emoji.
Fans were quick to show their support. One commented, “Hoping you find the peace you deserve brother,” while another said, “Please carve more. Watching this was so therapeutic.” Another user shared, “There’s something so therapeutic about working with your hands on a special project.”
In her poetry book, Fox reflected on the pain of her miscarriage with deeply moving words: “Maybe if you hadn’t… maybe if I had…” and contemplated the loss with poignant lines like, “I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh,” and “but now / I have to say / goodbye.” She also wrote about the harrowing experience of imagining holding the baby “as they rip you from my insides.”
Machine Gun Kelly also touched hearts during his Billboard Music Awards performance in May 2022. He dedicated his song “Twin Flame” to Fox and their unborn child, stating, “And this is for our unborn child.”
In February 2024, MGK released the song “dont let me go,” which included lyrics that referred to the heartache of the miscarriage: “How can I live with the fact / That my hand wasn’t on her stomach when we lost the baby.”
MGK is a father to his 14-year-old daughter Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with his ex, Emma Cannon. Megan Fox has three sons from her previous marriage to Brian Austin Green: Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6.
In a candid interview with Good Morning America last fall, Fox opened up about the shared experience with MGK. “I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” she said, reflecting on the miscarriage. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
