It seems the security guard who had a well-publicized run-in with Kelly Rowland at the Cannes Film Festival is back in the limelight. This time, it involved Dominican actress Massiel Taveras.

In a video making rounds on social media, Massiel Taveras is seen in a bit of a scuffle with the same security guard, who seemed to be hurrying her along the Palais des Festivals staircase. The situation escalated when Taveras, dressed in a stunning white gown featuring a long train with a depiction of Jesus, decided to stop for photos.
The security guard was seen motioning for Taveras to keep moving as she tried to display the train of her dress. In response, Taveras exchanged words with her and even pushed the guard’s arm away.

After waving at her fans, Taveras tried to stand her ground, but the security guard once again tried to move her along. The actress seemed to get increasingly annoyed, pushing the guard’s arm away and speaking to her quite heatedly.
This latest skirmish follows an earlier incident involving Kelly Rowland and the same guard during the Marcello Mio premiere. Rowland later explained to the Associated Press that she had strong boundaries and felt the need to stand by them when interacting with the guard. She also pointed out that other women on the carpet didn’t receive the same treatment.
Footage from the Rowland incident showed the guard attempting to keep Rowland moving, leading to a testy exchange of words and gestures. Rowland even pointed a finger at the guard as others in her entourage tried to intervene without much success.
The Cannes red carpet has seen a slew of stars this week, including Meryl Streep, Sebastian Stan, and the stars from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.
The 77th Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 14, and the most anticipated awards, including the prestigious Palme d’Or, will be announced on Saturday, May 25. The jury, led by Barbie director Greta Gerwig among others, will reveal the winners at the closing ceremony.
