Cher shared a funny anecdote about their early days together. While she was in Switzerland, Edwards texted her asking where she was going. Cher was a little annoyed by his use of three Ys in “babyyy,” thinking he didn’t know her well enough for that. But then he kept texting her, and the rest is history.
Despite warning her friends not to fall in love with a younger man or fall in love through text, Cher couldn’t resist her connection with Edwards. As she put it, “There goes that theory.”
This isn’t the first time Cher has spoken about her preference for dating younger men. During an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she shared, “If I hadn’t met younger men in my life, I would have never had a date because older men just didn’t like me much. I have had a couple of boyfriends who were hovering about my age, but they just didn’t like me for some reason.”
