Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss cause of death was revealed

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, Stephen “tWitch” Boss committed suicide.

County officials acknowledge that the 40-year-old professional dancer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He died on Tuesday in a motel in Los Angeles’ Encino district.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, the case has been properly concluded.

Allison Holker Boss, the late star’s wife and a former So You Think You Can Dance contestant, came up about her husband’s death on Wednesday.

“It is with heavy hearts that I must inform you that my husband Stephen has left us,” Allison, 34, said. “Every room Stephen entered was filled with light. He treasured his family, friends, and community above all else. He believed leading with love and light was the best action. He was the rock of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his followers.”

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive influence will be remembered for a long time,” she continued. “I’m certain there will never be a day when we don’t remember him. We humbly request your privacy during this terrible time for myself and our three children.”

“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” Allison said at the end of her message.

Allison and his three children, Zaia, Maddox, and Weslie, survive Boss.

Boss rose to notoriety as a participant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project before finishing second on Star Search. Later, in 2008, he performed on So You Think You Can Dance, finishing as runner-up and returning as an All-Star. When the show resumed in 2022, he served as a judge.

Boss made his debut as a guest DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. He eventually became a regular character on the show, and in 2020 he was named co-executive producer.

Ellen DeGeneres reacted to the tragic news with a heartfelt statement and a photo of the couple hugging.

“I’m devastated. tWitch was only pure light and love.” She posted it on Instagram. “I just had love to give him since he was my family. He’ll be much missed.”

“Please give Allison and his beautiful children — Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia — your love and support,” DeGeneres said at the end of her remarks.

Contestants from So You Think You Can Dance and Dance with the Stars, as well as celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, JoJo Siwa, and Jada Pinkett Smith, paid tribute to Boss online.

“He was pleasant, compassionate, and generous,” explained Pinkett Smith. “So many people suffer in quiet. I wish he’d learned he wasn’t required to do it. May the Great Supreme hold his sparkling, lovely soul in His arms, and may the same Higher Power heal the damaged hearts of his loved ones.”
