In 1991, a poor farmer discovered an unknown cave in Vietnam’s Phon Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Because a deafening roar of water greeted him at the entry, the man was afraid and did not dare to inspect it.
It appears that a team of British researchers just decided to go deep within in 2009. What did they learn? A spectacular, self-contained planet measuring 5 kilometers in length and 150 meters in width. After inspecting the area, they concluded that Soon Dong is the world’s largest cave.
In the cave, there are lakes, clouds, and even plants and wildlife! Before entering the cave, you must descend 80 meters on a rope.
There are beaches with the finest sand in the world, small lakes with emerald water, and a river that runs the length of the cave.
