Al Roker keeps his fans up to date while undergoing medical treatment for ongoing health difficulties.
On Thursday morning, the 68-year-old Today show weatherman posted a photo of the sunset above the city, assuring his followers that he would be released from the hospital shortly.
“Hopefully heading home soon,” he captioned the Instagram photo. “But when your spirit sags a bit, you get to experience that and refresh.” “God bless you all for your kind words and prayers for my family and me.”
Many individuals sent good words to Roker, wishing him a complete and speedy recovery.
One week after expressing thanks on the Today show, Roker took to social media while in the hospital.
The iconic television personality was last seen on November 4th. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment of blood clots in his leg and lungs, only to be readmitted the day after Thanksgiving.
Roker missed the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, his first in 27 years.
In light of the holiday season, Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb said last week, “We truly wish Al could have been here, but due to various issues, he’s back in the hospital and he’s in very good care. He is currently asleep, and his physicians are keeping a tight eye on him.”
She said that she and Craig Melvin FaceTimed Al Roker from the tree lighting, saying, “Al and his family want everyone to know how appreciative they are for all the love, support, and well wishes. He gave us a thumbs up, and it was incredible to see Al.”
Roker was taken back to the hospital by ambulance only one day after being released.
According to a source, Al was admitted to the hospital after Thanksgiving, and his wife, Deborah Roberts, was “locked out of her car and couldn’t get inside it” during the emergency transfer.
The insider claims that “the automobile broke down,” leaving her unable to retrieve her possessions, including her phone.
Roker’s 24-year-old daughter Leila thanked her fans for their well wishes after her father was readmitted to the hospital due to health issues.
She captioned a selfie on her Instagram Story, “Thank you to all the great friends and family who have reached out. We are deeply grateful.”
