Amy Schumer’s son Gene is doing well after contracting the respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV as it is more often known.
The comedian and actress, 41, revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday that her child with husband Chris Fischer was hospitalized for RSV while juggling the demanding schedule of hosting Saturday Night Live this week.
“This was the hardest week of my life, Schumer said, accompanied by a selection of pictures from the SNL set. I had to miss Thursday’s rehearsals because my baby had to be taken to the ER and admitted to the hospital with RSV. A shout-out to all the parents who are currently going through this.”
Gene, 3, is now thankfully “home and well,” Schumer continued.
We’re sending them our prayers.
