MAFS UK viewers ‘get the ick’ over groom’s ‘shameful’ reaction to another bride

After Adam Nightingale’s repeated poor behaviour towards his bride, Polly Sellman, on Married at First Sight UK, fans are once again feeling the ‘ick’.

Adam hasn’t exactly endeared himself as a great husband this season. From fellow groom Nathan Campbell suggesting he’s ‘superficial’ for not wanting to ‘rip’ Polly’s clothes off, to his less-than-flattering comments during a honeymoon massage, viewers are fed up.

The couple recently exchanged vows in front of friends and family, but even after getting intimate, Adam confessed to cameras that he wasn’t attracted to Polly.

Polly’s best friend, Alfie, even stepped in to defend her against Adam’s cold behavior. So, what’s the latest uproar about?

Disrespectful Behavior

On Tuesday, September 24, viewers were appalled to see Adam openly gawking at Nathan’s wife, Lacey Martin. You know how MAFS goes; after the weddings, everyone gets together for gatherings, dinner parties, and challenges.

This time, Adam decided he’d rather focus on Lacey than his own wife, Polly. Fans were disgusted, noting he gave them the ‘ick’ when he began pestering Nathan for details about his wife and their honeymoon.

One viewer wrote, “Oh my god, what were Adam’s reactions when Lacy walked in? The man has no shame.” Another commented, “Adam, Lacey ain’t your wife, son.”

Grossed out fans continued: “The way Adam perked up when he saw Lacey! Ick,” and “Adam gawping over Lacey is just the worst. I feel for Polly because she’s so gorgeous and lovely.” Another user wrote, “Asking Nathan if she wore a thong bikini! Ewwwww.”

While fans hope this doesn’t spark more drama on the show, knowing MAFS, it likely will.

Nathan and Lacey are on rocky ground, just like Adam and Polly. This unrest is tied to Nathan and Adam’s preferences for ‘petite’ women, despite being paired with wonderful brides with fuller figures.

While viewers have already criticized Adam for his harsh words about Polly, Nathan faced backlash even before saying ‘I do’. The trouble started with Lacey’s twin sister appearing as the bridesmaid.

During the wedding, Nathan mistook Lacey’s twin as his bride, even though she was in a pink dress, reacting with a loud ‘oh, wow’ before realizing it was Lacey he was marrying.

Disappointed, he commented that she looked ‘nice’, which did not sit well with Lacey.
