Glen Powell Reveals His Desperation to Adopt His Pup Brisket

Glen Powell Reveals How ‘Desperate’ He Was to Adopt His Pup Brisket in Dog’s Vogue Cover Story

Picture this: you’re on a film set in Oklahoma, scrolling aimlessly through Instagram, when suddenly a tiny, fluffy miracle appears on your screen. That’s precisely what happened to our favorite heartthrob, Glen Powell. He spotted Brisket, the tiniest white puppy with eyes that could melt the coldest heart. Powell was hit by a wave of what we shall call ‘puppy fever.’

No joke, Powell became borderline stalker-ish in his quest to adopt the pup. How desperate, you ask? He called anyone and everyone the adoption agency followed on Instagram. Yeah, that desperate.

The Twisters star was on set in Enid, Oklahoma, when he came across Brisket’s photo on the Labelle Foundation’s account. “I remember exactly where I was—in this cafe in Enid, Oklahoma—when I saw a picture of him,” he said, reliving the moment of pure enlightenment.

Brisket didn’t just wag his way into Powell’s heart; he joined the exclusive club of celebri-dogs, appearing alongside Billie Eilish’s Shark and Demi Moore’s Pilaf on the illustrious cover of Dogue. How’s that for a portfolio?

The Relentless Pursuit

Powell admits he was very desperate to get Brisket. Desperate enough to make a video and call anyone linked to the adoption agency. That’s some high-level commitment, folks. Mid-production of Twisters, he even flew back to Los Angeles just to secure the adoption. Talk about a mission!

For a hot minute, Brisket almost got named Enid. But let’s face it—Brisket is the perfect moniker for this little fur ball. Powell shared, “I really felt the need to be a dog dad when I was in Enid, Oklahoma, so I almost named him Enid. But I’m glad I didn’t name him Enid. Brisket is a very fitting name for him.” Couldn’t agree more.

Social Brisky Business

Brisket, or as his pals like to call him, Brisky Business, is not your average pup. This little guy is the life of the party.
