According to major betting markets tracked by FOX Business, Harris has surged ahead of Trump with impressive odds. As of Monday morning, Harris boasts a 55% implied probability on BetUS, a first since the platform started tracking the 2024 election market.

Over the weekend, it was neck and neck, but Monday’s trading saw Harris take the lead.

On PolyMarket, traders gave Harris a 51% chance against Trump’s 46%. Over on PredictIt, which has had Harris ahead of Trump for a few weeks now, the odds stand at 59% for Harris and 43% for Trump.

“Not only is Harris now leading in the betting odds, but she is also leading in terms of the total number of wagers placed and the total dollar volume bet so far,” said Tim Williams, the BetUS director of public relations, to FOX Business.

Williams added, “I personally wouldn’t have expected so much money to have been bet on Kamala so quickly, but here we are.” It appears that Harris is drawing in larger wagers compared to Trump, a sure sign of confidence from the casino crowd.

Trump, Harris Campaigns Start to Clash Over the Economy

Strategic Wealth Partners’ Mark Tepper, pollster Lee Carter, and attorney Mehek Cooke are weighing in on what the 2024 candidates are getting right and wrong about the economy. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to see a money cage match between these two? It’s the kind of drama that makes politics almost as fun as the Super Bowl – almost.

Momentum for Harris has been surging ever since President Biden made the unprecedented decision to step down from the race last month. It’s not just the bettors who think she can win; polls are backing up the bets.

A recent NPR, PBS, and Marist poll from Wednesday has Harris edging out Trump by a slim 3-point margin among registered voters. Meanwhile, a Marquette Law School poll from Thursday puts her 4 points ahead of the former president.
