Chanel West Coast announced in March 2023 that she would be leaving MTV’s Ridiculousness after hosting for 30 seasons. The new co-host stepping into her shoes is the dynamic Lauren “Lolo” Wood.
Wood, a talented model and TV personality, brings a fresh presence to the viral clip show.
Lauren “Lolo” Wood‘s addition to Ridiculousness follows the departure of Chanel West Coast, whose full name is Chelsea Chanel Dudley. Chanel decided to transition from being a co-host to take on an executive producer role, marking a new chapter in her career. Chanel spent 30 robust seasons co-hosting alongside the show’s creator, Rob Dyrdek, and Sterling “Steelo” Brim.
During the search for a new permanent co-host, a variety of notable MTV personalities filled in temporarily. This included B. Simone, Brie “Bella” Garcia, Brittany Elena, Camille Kostek, and several other prominent figures.
Lauren Wood’s journey to MTV began well before her latest gig. She initially made her mark on television in 2014 with the celebrity competition show Wild ‘N Out. Before her TV career, Wood served admirably in the Air Force for eight years.
Wood’s star continued to rise with roles and appearances in shows like the Dwayne Johnson-led Ballers and various modeling assignments. Her presence on Ridiculousness is not new, as she has been part of the show as a guest on multiple occasions.
Wood recently had a personal life highlight with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., with whom she shares her son Zydn. Though they eventually parted ways in September 2023, the pair remain committed co-parents.
Wood celebrated her son’s second birthday with Beckham in a cheerful Instagram post, showcasing their dedication to family despite their separation.
“Almost a week late, but I still can’t get over how much fun we had celebrating my baby’s birthday!!” Wood wrote, while Beckham lovingly commented, “This dude knows too much! Really had the best 🦖 day!”
Catch Wood in action as the new co-host of Ridiculousness, with her first episodes airing on Sunday, July 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
