Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Mumbai wedding has a star-studded guest list!
The billionaire heir, 29, who is the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Merchant, 29, the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, will tie the knot in a lavish three-day ceremony that begins on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex in India.
Anant’s father Mukesh has an estimated net worth of around $123 billion, according to Forbes.
Ahead of the over-the-top nuptials, Kim Kardashian arrived in India alongside sister Khloe Kardashian where the pair revealed their appearance at the wedding will be featured in an episode of their Hulu reality series. The SKKN by Kim founder, 43, and the Good American co-founder, 40, documented their arrival in Mumbai on July 11.
Kim shared photos on her Instagram Stories as she was welcomed by hotel staff who greeted her with flowers before the pair rode a rickshaw through Mumbai. Later, both sisters revealed their wedding looks with Kim in red and Khloe in white and gold.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are also in attendance for the over-the-top affair. The singer shared a video on Instagram dancing in the car on their way to the festivities on July 12. “C’mon Barbie… #AnantandRadhika” he captioned the post.
Actor John Cena is also on the guest list, as is Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie Blair who were photographed on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre.
The highly anticipated celebration comes after months of the couple’s pre-wedding festivities where plenty of famous faces also helped the couple celebrate ahead of their nuptials.
In March, the pair kicked off the pre-wedding festivities with a three-day affair and hastakshar (a traditional Indian prenuptial event that symbolizes the couple’s bond and commitment to each other) at the Ambani’s private home. During the celebration, Rihanna performed her hits including “Work,” “B—- Better Have My Money,” and “All of the Lights.”
Two months later, Katy Perry also performed for the couple during a masquerade bash held in Cannes during their pre-wedding cruise through Europe along with famed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and The Backstreet Boys.
Days before the wedding, the couple also tapped Justin Bieber for a private performance for their Sangeet ceremony held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai.
He was videoed on stage singing his songs “Love Yourself,” “Where Are You Now” and “I’m the One,” and was also snapped alongside Ambani and Merchant ahead of his performance. The musician also shared a series of behind-the-scenes snaps of him relaxing at his hotel in Mumbai, on the phone and rehearsing ahead of his epic pre-wedding ceremony performance.
Several other notable names who attended the couple’s pre-wedding events include Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan’s royal family.
According to Vogue, Anant, who now leads Reliance Industries’ energy vertical, and Radhika, who is a director at Encore Healthcare (her parents founded the company) first met through mutual friends during a leisurely drive in 2017.
Anant popped the question in 2023 at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, a holy Hindu site on the banks of the Banas River.
