A man is in custody facing multiple charges related to a tragic shooting on the 4th of July.
According to reports, 27-year-old Kanard Murphy visited a carwash in Fort Worth to see his 11-month-old daughter. The family was having a gathering for the holiday.
Just before midnight, Murphy got into an argument with one of his child’s relatives. After placing his daughter in the car, he took out a rifle and began shooting.
Tragically, two young girls, 1-year-old Wynter Thouston and 4-year-old Ivy Pierce, were struck. They were rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly passed away. Additionally, 42-year-old Terrell Winn also fell victim to the gunfire.
Murphy was later hit in the back by an unknown person and is currently hospitalized. He now faces multiple capital murder charges.
