The actress shared the things she wants to accomplish amid her ongoing struggle with multiple sclerosis
It’s lovely to hear that Christina Applegate has a few dreams she’s excited to pursue “with the days I have left in life,” and she’s not afraid to dream big and fun!
Christina, 52, recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) expressing her wish to “work with Shirley MacLaine and do shots with Cher!” She added, “Yes, my days are so big. Just saying.”
Despite just turning 90, Shirley MacLaine isn’t slowing down. She’s scheduled to start filming a new movie, People Not Places, in Atlantic City this year. Plus, her photo-filled book, The Wall of Life, will be out on October 22.
For the fun idea of doing shots with Cher, fans tagged the pop legend in Christina’s post, but Cher has yet to respond.
Christina’s been dealing with multiple sclerosis since her diagnosis in 2021. However, this isn’t her first health battle. In 2008, she faced breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy while later opting to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes in 2017 due to the BRCA1 gene mutation that heightens her cancer risk.
If you follow her journey, you might have heard her share details on MeSsy, the podcast she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler from Sopranos, who also revealed her MS diagnosis in 2020.
According to Verywell Health, MS is described as “a chronic disease, but it’s almost never a fatal one,” thanks to advances in treatment. However, symptoms can be challenging, including pain, vertigo, memory problems, and fatigue.
Christina’s determination to stay strong is evident, especially as a mom to her 13-year-old daughter, Sadie, whom she shares with her husband, musician Martyn Le Noble. She has called her MS diagnosis “devastating,” but remains optimistic. She shared, “I know I’ll live a long enough life to experience my kid and the things she’s going to do. And I need to be here, so I’ve got to fight.”
