Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods are teaming up to launch an exciting new venture.
Pop superstar Timberlake, 43, and golfing legend Woods, 48, plan on opening a sports bar called T-Squared Social—a fun play on their names “Timberlake” and “Tiger”—in Scotland, according to BBC reports. This announcement follows the successful opening of their first T-Squared Social bar in New York City last month.
The bar, if it gets the green light from Fife Council, will be housed in the historic New Picture House Cinema in St. Andrews. The renovation plan includes keeping two of the original movie screens and adding sports simulators, duckpin bowling, and darts.
The idea “emerged after the duo finished a round of golf at Albany in The Bahamas,” as noted on their website.
The “Cry Me a River” singer and the legendary golfer “started talking about doing more together in a business that taps into their passions,” the website adds.
T-Squared Social represents a collaboration between NEXUS Luxury Collection—where both are shareholders—and Howard Milstein’s 8AM Golf.
“They envisioned a place they would be proud to share with family, friends, and fans, and are excited to open this New York City location—with plans already in motion for more locations globally,” the website mentioned. “Stay tuned on where these two friends take T-Squared Social next.”
Christopher Anand, CEO of NEXUS Luxury Collection, stated, “We’re committed to honoring the theater’s legacy while creating a modern entertainment destination,” as reported by Rolling Stone.
The announcement of the bar comes at a rewarding time for Timberlake, who recently faced legal issues. The NSYNC alum was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons last month. His court date is scheduled for July 26, and he was released without bail.
“The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test,” his lawyer, Ed Burke, told Us Weekly. “Mr. Timberlake also faces two other court citations for running a stop sign and not staying in the correct lane.”
On June 18, 2024, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, was observed by police driving a 2025 BMW in an intoxicated state in Long Island, New York. He failed to stop at a stop sign and didn’t stay in his lane, according to a statement from the Sag Harbor Police Department.
Woods, meanwhile, also had a tough June, failing to make the cut for the 2024 U.S. Open.
“I hit a lot of good shots that just didn’t quite go my way, or I hit good putts, and then I put myself in a couple of bad spots with some bad lag putts,” Woods said, as per ESPN.
Despite recent setbacks, both Timberlake and Woods are forging ahead with their business ambitions, starting with T-Squared Social in Scotland. With their blend of entertainment and sports, this new bar promises to be a vibrant place for people to gather, relax, and enjoy their shared passions.
