Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan’s 29-year-old daughter found the perfect way to celebrate her mom’s birthday.
Schuyler, the twin sister of Aquinnah, had a fairytale wedding in the Catskills and exchanged her vows on June 22, coinciding with her mother’s 64th birthday.

Almost forty years ago, Michael J. Fox, 63, and Tracy Pollan, 64, first crossed paths as on-screen lovers on the popular TV show Family Ties.
“He was very cocky,” Pollan recalls. “He was funny, but he was cocky.”
Though they were attracted to each other, Fox was dating Nancy McKeon from the TV sitcom Facts of Life, and Pollan was with Kevin Bacon, who later began dating Kyra Sedgwick in 1987, the same year he split with Pollan.
The Back to the Future star and his future wife reunited on the set of the 1988 film Bright Lights, Big City. Both single at the time, they seized the moment and got married that same year.
“It sounds really horrible, but it was one of those things,” Fox told People in 1989. Joking about their relationship statuses, he continues, “Someone goes, ‘Did you hear that so-and-so aren’t together anymore?’ And you go, ‘Hmm, that’s too bad. Where’s the phone?’”
Family
Shortly after Pollan and Fox tied the knot, they welcomed their son Sam Michael on May 30, 1989.
Just two years later, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and his devoted wife provided her unwavering support.
In early November 2023, the Teen Wolf star appeared on CBS Mornings and spoke about how his loving wife has been his strongest advocate for 35 years.
“The hardest part of my diagnosis was grappling with the certainty of the diagnosis and the uncertainty of the situation,” Fox said. “I only knew it would get worse. The diagnosis was definite, the progress was indefinite and uncertain. My wife made it clear that she was with me for the duration.”
Despite the many hurdles, the couple continued to grow their family. They welcomed twins, Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, on February 15, 1995, followed by their daughter Esmé Annabelle in November 2001.
For other parents, Fox offers this piece of advice: “Always be available to your kids. Because if you say, ‘Give me five minutes, give me 10 minutes,’ it’ll be 15, it’ll be 20. And then when you get there, the shine will have worn off whatever it is they wanted to share with you.”
‘Picture perfect’
With their children now grown and out of the house, Pollan and Fox are enjoying their empty-nester years, much like they did when they first started their journey 36 years ago.
“We get more food,” Fox jokes about the absence of their four children. “They’re not taking it all.”
The children are beginning to start families of their own.
On June 24, People magazine reported that Schuyler, 29, married her longtime partner on Saturday, June 22, in the Catskill Mountains in New York.
“The weather was absolutely perfect, despite the heat wave,” a source told People about the luxurious wedding held at Hayfield Catskills. “They dined under a tent, and it really looked like a picture-perfect garden party. They seemed like such an adorable, gentle family.”
The source added that political commentator George Stephanopoulos and his comedian girlfriend, Ali Wentworth, were in attendance along with Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey.
Guests stayed at rustic but charming accommodations like the Bluebird Hunter Lodge and the bespoke mountain hotel, Scribner’s Catskill Lodge, past havens for stars like Olivia Wilde and Rami Malek.
‘Forever your Mike’
The wedding day also happened to be Tracy Pollan’s 64th birthday.
Although Pollan and Fox have remained discreet about Schuyler’s wedding and their daughters prefer to stay out of the limelight, their son Sam, now 35, shared a heartwarming birthday message to his mom with a nod to his sister.
“Happy birthday Teep!! I love you so much and I’m very excited that I actually get to spend the day with you!! ([Schuyler] don’t worry, your post is coming later),” he captioned a photo showing his mom dancing with one of the twins.
And Fox posted a loving birthday message to his wife as well.
“In every beautiful way, it’s beautiful Tracy’s beautiful day. I love you and today will be magnificent,” the actor shared on Instagram on Saturday alongside a black-and-white photo of Pollan. “Always forever your Mike with so-much love. Happy birthday. It’s gonna be an epic day.”
