A champion diver decided to ignore the ‘no women’ sign on a water slide, thinking it was all in good fun. However, she quickly found out why the warning was there in the first place.

There’s a good reason why the water slide is banned for women
Mia Williams, a seven-time world champion cliff diver, couldn’t resist trying out the notorious water slide at Area 47 adventure park in Austria. Known for its speeds of up to 50 mph, this slide prominently features a sign warning women not to use it.
Despite such limitations being common in many theme parks due to height and weight regulations, the exclusion of women on this particular slide sparked controversy.

Williams decided to share her wild experience on social media. Moments after she slid down, she let out a piercing scream, making it clear why the restriction was in place. In a candid Instagram post, she humorously captioned, “Here for a good time, not a long time! Another YOLO moment.”
Many on social media criticized the park’s policy as sexist, but there’s a genuine reason behind it. Reports from the National Library of Medicine suggested that women could suffer severe injuries from high-speed water slides, such as internal damage or infections.

Realizing the severity of her actions, Williams acknowledged, “It was never my intent to mock the safety regulations. A person’s safety is paramount, and I always weigh the dangers in my job. To suggest otherwise is wrong.”
Many women shared similar experiences on social media, with one woman mentioning, “Unfortunately, I got a water slide enema. I literally couldn’t stand upright after it happened. Weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced.”
