Jennifer Robyn Bernard, a beloved actress from the 1980s and one of the early stars of General Hospital, has sadly passed away.
Robyn, best known for her role as Terry Brock on General Hospital during the mid-1980s, was found deceased this week in San Jacinto, California.
Police were called to investigate a death early on Tuesday morning, and her identity was confirmed through fingerprints.
The cause of her death is not yet known, and an autopsy is scheduled by the Riverside County Coroner this Wednesday.
We expect to receive results from a toxicology report in the coming weeks.
According to the Riverside County Coroner, she was found at 4 a.m. in an open field behind a business.
Born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, Robyn’s career began with a role in the movie Diva in 1981. Prior to her big break, she also appeared in Whiz Kids in 1983 and The Facts of Life in 1984, among other shows.
Robyn was a prominent figure on General Hospital, appearing in 145 episodes from 1984 to 1990, according to IMDb. In 2002, she portrayed a psychologist in Voices from the High School.
Her younger sister Crystal Bernard, also an actress, is known for her roles in Wings and It’s a Living.
Fans of General Hospital expressed their sorrow on social media. One user wrote, “General Hospital has had a rough year. Rest in peace, Robyn.”
Another commented, “Her sister Crystal was also notable in the entertainment industry as both a singer and actress.”

Robyn’s passing follows the loss of another beloved General Hospital star, Jacklyn Zeman, who died in May last year.
Remembered as an icon at the age of 70, Jacklyn’s death left fans and co-stars mourning.
She passed away on May 10, 2023, after battling cancer, as confirmed by her family.
Frank Valentini, the executive producer of General Hospital, shared his sorrow on Twitter, writing, “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman.”
He added, “Just like her remarkable character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer, Jackie was a bright light and true professional who brought immense positive energy to her work.”
“While we will miss her dearly, Jackie’s radiant spirit will continue to inspire our cast and crew.”
Jacklyn’s legacy lives on, especially through her daughters, Cassidy and Lacey. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family.
