Wendy’s added a free Frosty to their $5 meal deal the same day that McDonald’s unveiled their new $5 combo deal.
Wendy’s sweetened their meal deal with the latest addition to their combo.
On June 20, the chain restaurant announced that their Biggie Bag deal just got a bit Biggie-er, with a deal that rivals a competitor’s latest menu addition.
The Biggie Bag currently includes either a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or Crispy Chicken Sandwich, 4-piece Nuggs, Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries and a small soft drink, according to a press release.
What makes this customizable meal deal extra sweet is that it also includes a free Frosty with every Biggie Bag when you order via the Wendy’s app from June 20 to June 30. This offer is available nationwide at participating restaurants.
Customers can choose from Classic Chocolate or their new summertime flavor, Triple Berry, which includes strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry flavorings.
Wendy’s has been serving this customizable meal deal since 2019, and adding a free Frosty for the 5th anniversary of their $5 meal deal is a great way to celebrate.
This news comes shortly after McDonald’s revealed their new $5 meal deal, complete with a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, fries, a four-piece chicken McNuggets, and a soft drink.
It was confirmed that the long-rumored meal deal would officially roll out in restaurants nationwide on June 25.
Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, mentioned that the restaurant company heard “fans loud and clear — they’re looking for even more great value from us, and this summer that’s exactly what they’ll get.”
