So, what’s included in this meal deal? You can choose either a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, and it also comes with small fries, a four-piece chicken McNuggets, and a refreshing soft drink.
Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, shared that the chain listened to what fans wanted, saying, “They’re looking for even more great value from us, and this summer that’s exactly what they’ll get.”
Earlier this year, there was quite the buzz on TikTok about a McDonald’s “secret dinner box” that featured a load of goodies, sparking expectations for broader deals from McDonald’s. One TikTok user, Leiela Kapewa-Latu, showed off her $12 treasure trove from a Texas McDonald’s that included two cheeseburgers, four small fries, ten-piece chicken nuggets, two Big Macs, and sauces in a fun video.
In her video, Leiela mentioned, “If you didn’t know, like we didn’t know, $12 gets you a dinner box. It’s not on the menu.”
McDonald’s revealed that franchises set their own prices and can offer unique promotions that may vary by location. They also noted that bundled deals like the viral boxes can be found in the McDonald’s app.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! McDonald’s is also offering free fries every Friday for the rest of 2024, as long as you place the order through their app. Normally, there’s a $1 minimum for this deal, but on National French Fry Day—July 13—you can grab a free fries of any size without making any purchase.
