Behind the Scenes with Joy Behar: Exclusive Insights into ‘The View’

ABC’s The View is that TV show you either love to hate or hate to love. Known for its fiery debates and sharp-tongued hosts, it often feels like more of a reality show than a morning talk show. Critics, of course, love to emphasize that the hosts seem to prefer pontificating their own political views over engaging in meaningful dialogue. It’s like watching a gladiatorial arena where everyone’s armed with nothing but their opinions and a cup of coffee. Yet, despite all the drama, the future of The View remains a cliffhanger, particularly as Disney contemplates selling off the underperforming channel.

Enter Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the pop culture icon we never knew we needed. Snooki recently paid a visit to Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and found herself dishing some juicy tidbits about none other than Joy Behar, one of The View’s most enduring co-hosts. When prompted by Cohen to share her experiences with various celebrities, Snooki didn’t hold back, leaving Cohen momentarily speechless with her candidness.

According to Snooki, Joy Behar holds the dubious honor of being the “rudest celebrity” she has had the misfortune of encountering since skyrocketing to fame on Jersey Shore over the past 14 years. Yes, you read that right. Snooki vs Behar might just be the celebrity face-off no one saw coming but everyone secretly enjoys.

Cohen, visibly taken aback, asked Snooki to elaborate. Was Behar really that rude? Snooki didn’t mince words. “Joy was so mean to me,” she stated with the kind of bluntness that makes reality TV so addicting.

Intrigued and perhaps slightly entertained, Cohen dug deeper. “She cornered me in the bathroom!” Snooki claimed dramatically, before revealing the pièce de résistance, “And said, ‘You’re not Italian!’”

The Shocking Bathroom Confrontation

The plot thickens! Cohen gasped in shock, as any good TV host would. Snooki, unphased by the drama, simply doubled down on her accusations. When pressed on what she said in response, Snooki recounted saying, “I said, ‘OK, ma’am,’” with all the nonchalance of someone who’s seen it all.

Now, Snooki didn’t specify when this alleged hallway horror occurred, but it seems the bad blood has been simmering for quite some time. Back in 2011, Snooki posted a now-eradicated video mocking Behar, which TMZ gleefully captured before it disappeared like last night’s leftovers. In the clip, Snooki and her partner-in-crime Farley donned personas of older Jewish women, with Snooki hilariously portraying “Joy B,” a character who had some choice words about none other than Snooki herself.

In this parody, Snooki branded Behar as an “Italian wannabe” and accused her of despising the Jersey Shore crew, humorously alleging that such “trashy” kids had somehow marred her childhood during “the Great Depression.” Talk about intergenerational drama!

Eventually, Snooki took down the video, explaining that the parody was taken way too seriously by some. Because, apparently, not everyone gets the subtle art of sarcastic humor. Go figure.
