Angelina Jolie and Daughter Vivienne Wear Matching Outfits on 2024 Tony Awards Red Carpet

Jolie is nominated for co-producing the musical adaptation of ‘The Outsiders,’ on which Vivienne is credited as a ‘producer assistant’

Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne are one stylish duo.

The actress, 49, and her 15-year-old daughter graced the 2024 Tony Awards, held on June 16, to celebrate ‘The Outsiders.’ Produced by Jolie, the musical has earned an impressive 12 Tony nominations this year, including Best Musical.

Jolie looked stunning in a custom light-teal Atelier Versace strapless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a corseted bodice with fluid draping. She completed her elegant look with a matching velvet shrug and walked the red carpet at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City, holding hands with Vivienne. She styled her hair in a relaxed, down fashion and wore matching satin Versace shoes.

Vivienne, listed in The Outsiders Playbill as a producer assistant, complemented her mother in a chic ensemble. She wore a crisp white shirt under a teal vest paired with teal trousers and a bow tie, finishing her look with a pair of converse sneakers.

Their coordinated outfits made their appearance at the awards even more special. Jolie has shared before how Vivienne inspired her to venture into Broadway.

“She saw an early workshop a few times and then invited me to it,” Jolie shared at The Outsiders’ opening night this past April. “Viv is a young artist who focuses her efforts on supporting others. She has been there to assist in any way she can and has learned so much from Justin Levine [score and co-book writer] and the entire creative team.”

Both Jolie and Vivienne attended The Outsiders premiere on April 11, each sporting their own styles. Jolie wore a gold slip dress with a matching silk cape, while Vivienne chose a navy jumpsuit that matched co-book writer Levine’s outfit.

Speaking with Deadline, Jolie explained that working with Vivienne behind the scenes brought a new perspective to producing the show and deepened her bond with her daughter.

“It was a very different experience understanding how this project significantly impacts her as a young person. She’s communicating something meaningful to me through this material,” Jolie said. “For me, it was a chance to learn more about Viv, rather than just thinking about becoming a producer.”

The 77th Tony Awards aired live on CBS and Paramount+ starting at 8 p.m. ET, highlighting a night of celebration and recognition for outstanding achievements in theater.
