The dots, which are similar to donut holes or munchkin donuts, come in five flavors: original glazed, powdered, cinnamon, sprinkled and cookie crumbs.
Krispy Kreme has a bite-sized bargain for customers.
The chain announced a new assortment of doughnut dots, which are similar to donut holes or munchkin donuts, and they’re selling them for cheap to celebrate. Starting on Monday, June 10, customers can score a 10-count of doughnut dots for $1 with the purchase of any dozen donuts.
The four new flavors join the original glazed dots on the permanent Krispy Kreme menu. All use an original glazed dot as a base.
The powdered and cinnamon dots are similar to the classic powdered-sugar topped and cinnamon-coated full-size donuts. The sprinkled flavor takes an original glazed dot and coats it in rainbow nonpareils for a colorful look and crunchy bite. The cookie crumb flavor is an original glazed donut dot with a cookie crumb topping for some chocolaty richness.
The new assorted donut holes are available to purchase in 10-count or 24-count cups.
The sweet $1 deal is available between June 10 and June 16 for customers who purchase a dozen donuts. Guests can choose between a 10-count cup of assorted doughnut dots or original glazed doughnut dots for the promo.
In May, Krispy Kreme had the help of Dolly Parton in launching some new treats: the Dolly Southern Sweets collection.
Each of Parton’s four limited-edition bites — which come in a colorful, matching dozens box — are inspired by the Southern belle and classic desserts.
The Dolly Dazzler is an original glazed donut dipped in strawberry icing, covered in gold, pink and white glitter sprinkles and topped with a butterfly. The Peachy Keen Cobbler donut is an unglazed donut, stuffed with real peach filling inside, dipped in brown sugar icing and topped with “crunchy cobbler” pieces. The Banana Pudding Pie is an unglazed donut filled with banana pudding and dipped in yellow icing. The Chocolate Crème Pie treat is the only non-fruity flavor of the bunch and is a glazed donut that is topped with chocolate brownie cream, whipped vanilla topping and a chocolate cookie crumble.
New desserts are popping up at other fast food restaurants this week.
Wendy’s latest Frosty flavor is ushering in summer berry season. The triple berry Frosty, which hit stores June 10, combines strawberry, blackberry and raspberry flavors, a Wendy’s spokesperson confirmed.
“Triple Berry Frosty is the juiciest flavor to join Wendy’s iconic Frosty lineup yet,” the spokesperson said. “A Frosty that’s just as bright in color as it is in berry flavor, Triple Berry Frosty is the purple treat of the summer.”
